Sigma uses state of the art licensed software across the board. The main tools used for moorings, risers and vessel motions are Orcaflex and AQWA: providing fast and accurate results. These programs are the primary tools in the design and analysis of SMS.
Sigma used Orcaflex to model the highly complex dynamic behaviour of the BP Foinaven EWT mid-depth suspended pipeline and BP Schiehallion EWT pipeline riser systems.
Other software applications used in our day-to-day work includes STAAD - critical in determining sea fastening, equipment installation and structural analysis; Bureau Veritas’ finite element analysis program Veristar and AutoDesk Inventor/AutoCAD for 3D modeling of designs.
