Risers & Moorings
Sigma Offshore have developed analysis techniques using state of the art software for the analysis of riser systems and mooring systems. These techniques have been verified using model testing and in field measurements.
Our main analysis software for such systems is Orcaflex and AQWA which are used independently or supplementing each other depending on need.
We organize and specify model testing programmes together with reconciliation with analytical results which can, in particular, provide valuable insight into areas such as mooring line damping.
Sigma can also provide project management services for the design, supply and installation of moorings and risers; these include anchored, piled and suction piled solutions depending on required strength and soil conditions, our expertise includes the necessary geotechnical understanding for such systems.
